Help with Final Kitchen Design!
By admin | February 15, 2009
First off, Thank You all for the help I have received just by reading countless posts on this website. Your posts have helped me narrow down my kitchen choices and finally settle on Ikea and more specifically the ADEL BIRCH fronts.
I have been using the planner for a couple of days and I finally have a design that sorta works. Hopefully you guys can help me Iron out all the kinks.
Here are the issues with my design/kitchen:
1. Dead Corner Space on Wall Cabinets
2. Almost impossible to Center the Sink Cabinets/Sink/Window.
3. Small Kitchen Sink Cabinet
Currently, my kitchen has cabinets that extend right into the corners leaving no dead space at all. The Sink cabinet In my current kitchen is 42".Currently Both Base and Wall corner cabinets have shelves that go right into the corner. The wall cabinet has a 2 doors and the visible portion is 32" wide while the bottom has 1 door and the visible portion is 21" wide.
I would like my Ikea kitchen to have the same sort of functionality but I have been having a very hard time with the corners and trying to line up the sink to the window. The design I made on the planner leaves me with a 24" sink cabinet and dead corner space on the wall corner.
I know thats lots of info, but i figured it wouldn’t hurt!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You.
Judy
