Does anyone have the Bravad Sink?
By admin | April 11, 2009
We’re finally(!) finalizing our kitchen plans and are thinking about using the Bravad sink (it’s the one with the stainless steel countertop and integrated in one big piece).
I have only ever seen a couple of mentions of this sink. Does anyone here have it? Can you tell me what you like or dislike about it?
My concerns are
1) does the 5" space between the counter edge and where the sink bowl actually starts end up being a wierdly/uncomfortably long reach? ("normal" sinks appear to have about a 3" space)
2) does anyone know what the gauge of the steel is (the Ikea people can’t find the specs)
3) The only reviews I’ve read of the Bravad mention that it warp/expand when it gets hot, but that is mostly seems to go back to normal when cool. Have others found this to be a problem.
and 4) Has anyone placed this over normal base cabinets rather than over the Bravad base?
At $150 for the sink and countertop together, I figure it’s either ridiculously fabulous or a bit disappointing.
Thank you so much!!!!
